The End

Honestly, I am very disappointed in how my 20 time project has ended. After I emailed someone from Spooky Nook to place donations bins and never heard back, I didn't really do anything. At the beginning of the project I was sort of apprehensive about it, but then when it actually started it was okay.  Then the farther we went into the more intimidated I became. I think that once I "waited" to hear back from Spooky Nook I just forgot about the project. I knew that I should have done something, but I never did. I think I was afraid to throw myself into something this size and then have it not work out. I also think I didn't want to have to do all of the work of putting it together. Had someone else put it together I would have helped or participated. I am not a leader, I'm more of a follower, so this project was not meant for me.  However, I think that this project would have been really fun if I would have continued to work on it. I liked the idea of the project, but I didn't put in enough effort to get the outcome I would have liked.

The information that I have researched could help other people with the same passion I have. It gives them more insight to one way they could continue to pursue their passion throughout the rest of their lives. It could help gem learn more about the specific occupation of an athletic trainer. And though it does not cover all information, it gives enough to get an overview of it.
Recently I have been trying to secure a place to put collection bins. After not getting a response from spooky nook I had to find another place, and am still in the process of doing so. I hoping that I will have found a place before the end of the month. If I can't I'm not sure what's going to happen, so I will just have to wait and see.

Using my passion for the future

I found a lot of information about prospects off of my passion. I found that I could be an athletic trainer. I would still be around sports, even if I'm not participating. This job looks like a great option. Since 2003 salaries have been on the rise and the business is growing fast. To become an athletic trainer the minimum you can have is a bachelors degree, but you have to take physiology, anatomy, health and nutrition classes. These are very important as they will have a big impact on the different jobs you can get in this field. For me, this looks like the best option and it appeals to me.

Lesson Learned

Throughout the 20 time process I've learned to have a backup plan. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way because my original plan didn't go very well, and this will help me to complete my project because now that I know this I will always have a backup plan in everything involving my project from now on.  But, this is not just something that can help me in English class. This can help me in everything I do. If I know that something is going to be very important and will be worth a lot I will have some type of backup plan. Especially in school, if I have a project that has to be done on my iPad, I have to make sure I back things up to other apps so that if something happens to the original I will still have something to fall back on.

Pitch Day

Overall, I think that Pitch Day was a good experience for me. It made me go out of my comfort zone and talk to people I didn't know. I think it made me a little bit more comfortable in presenting things and based on the feedback I think that I did a fairly good job and I think that I will be able to use some of the feedback to make my project better.
But, it was not that fun for me. I don't like presenting in front of fellow classmates, so when I had to present in front of adults it was harder. I think that I got nervous and talked to fast and I know this is something I need to work on. But, because we had to present them so many times by the last one I had basically my entire presentation memorized so that was good.

What have I done?

So far I have found someone to donate things to, I have contacted someone about setting out donation bins, and I have began making flyers. Right now I am at a stand still waiting for a response from someone. However, I know that no matter what I will have someone to give whatever I collect to.  Organization wise, I think I am pretty organized. I don't have as much done as I would have liked, but my project is the hands of someone else at this point. As soon as I hear back, I will be able to put up flyers and start collecting and it will be pretty easy from there.

Contacting the Authority

When I contacted Let's Play It Forward, I got a response within a few days. I sent them an email asking if there was a phone number I could call to clear some things up. In my email I asked if there was any sort of limitations to how little you could donate seeing as I am not sure how well this is going to work out.
However, I do have a slight problem in contacting them by phone. The person who emailed me back said that I could call during a one hour span of time on the weekdays, so I think I might have a problem getting in contact with them. I responded to this email asking if there was anyway I could contact them on the weekend because it would be easier for me and I am still waiting on a response.
I learned that it actually isn't that bad having to reach out to a company, even if it was only an email. As soon as I get a response about contacting them on the weekend, I will make a phone call one way or another to hopefully get the majority of my questions answered. Overall, I don't think I have that much that I need to worry about at this point and I am looking forward to the rest of the project.
